In the Battle of One, our character steps into an alternate consciousness. As he scales the side of a dramatic cliff, he becomes so immersed in the climb that he loses the realization of a tangible body. For me, the sport of climbing demands enormous mental concentration and heart, creating an unparalleled unity with nature.
